Privacy Policy
IB Prep ("IB Prep", "we", "us") is a study app for IB students at ibprep.org. It offers short lessons, practice questions and past paper questions for IB Chemistry and Physics. This policy explains what information we collect when you use it, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details. When you sign up with email and password, we collect your email address. When you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We receive nothing else from your Google account and request no other Google permissions.
- Learning activity. The lessons and questions you complete, past paper answers, your daily streak and your settings, so your progress is saved to your account.
- Subscription status. Whether you have an active IB Prep membership, and its renewal dates. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Website usage. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and visits and see which pages are popular. It does not use cookies and does not track individual visitors.
- On your device. The app stores a sign-in session and, if you are not signed in, your progress in your browser's local storage. This is needed for the app to work and is not used for advertising.
How we use your information
- To create your account, sign you in and save your progress.
- To provide and manage your membership, including refunds.
- To answer your questions and improve the app.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use these service providers to run IB Prep, and they process your information only on our behalf:
- Supabase, which hosts our database and handles sign-in.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Stripe, which processes payments and subscriptions.
- Cloudflare, which hosts and delivers the website.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account information and progress for as long as your account exists. To delete your account and the data linked to it, email us at hello@ibprep.org from the address you signed up with and we will delete it. Payment records may be kept by Stripe as required for tax and accounting.
